Important Dates of WB D Pharmacy Admission 2024

WB Health Department will issue notification for Admission in D Pharma Courses in Govt Pharmacy Colleges in West Bengal in the 2024-25 session. The course is a two years diploma course in Pharmacy and candidates interested in obtaining D.Pharm from Govt Colleges in West Bengal can apply against the notification. Diploma in Pharmacy Admission 2024 – WB Health Dept Online Application Form

Students who are seeking for pharmacy course Admission after 12th class can take the opportunity for applying to the Diploma in Pharmacy Colleges in West Bengal.

Eligibility Criteria for WB D Pharmacy Admission

You must possess minimum educational qualification for WB D Pharmacy Admission as stipulated by the authority which is –

• Must pass Higher Secondary or 12th in Science Stream from any recognized institution/board.

Also Please Note that the Students who passed 12th in Vocational Stream/ Distance education, are not eligible for applying to the D.Pharm course.

Age Limit for WB Diploma in Pharmacy Course Admission

• Minimum Age – 16 Years.
• Maximum Age Limit – 30 years.

SC ST candidates will get 5 years age relaxation in upper limit. Age will be calculated as on 1 June 2024.

Residential Status

One must reside 10 years continuously in West Bengal or his/her parents should be permanent residents of WB and have their permanent address in the state.

Process of Selection in WB D Pharm Colleges

Based on 12th Marks, the candidates will be shortlisted. Marks Point Calculation will be done in the following manner –

• Physics + Chemistry + Mathematics or Biology (whichever is higher).

The applicants must pass Physics & Chemistry practical & theory separately.

Number of Seats in D Pharma Course

There is a total of 3 Govt Colleges under West Bengal Health department as mentioned earlier. Each college has a fixed number of seats.

However, in the notification issued by the WB Health Department, the authority has not released the total number of vacant seats for WB D Pharm Admission. Still, they have mentioned that the Seats will be reserved for SC, ST, OBC, PH Candidates.

For Physically Handicapped candidates, their WB D Pharm Admission is subject to approval and verification from Central medical board, Kolkata.
