Educational Qualification Required
Eligibility for Clerk and Gr. D Posts Under Calcutta University: Candidates who are thinking to apply for the posts, must know the post wise eligibility criteria. Therefore, we have discussed in detail about the minimum educational requirement and various other aspects of eligibility criteria for Clerk (Group C) and Group D staffs recruited by WBSSC. The candidates must have the minimum eligibility criteria for the posts as mentioned below by the school service commission –
Group C Posts Eligibility Criteria
- Technical Assistant Gr.-II – Bachelor degree in Science or 12th in Science with a technical qualification such as L.C.E/L.M.E/L.E.E/D.L.T.C. or 3 year’s diploma
- Junior Assistant – 12th/ Higher Secondary.
Eligibility Criteria for Group D posts: VIII pass (Class 8th). Please note that some Group D posts require minimum experience of 16 years in relevant field or certificate.

WB Group C D Salary structure 2024
WBSSC Group C D Recruitment will be given monthly salary as per the norms of the commission. The pay scale or salary scale will be published by the commission very soon. Other allowances will be given to their monthly salary along with the basic and grade pay (GP).
Age Limit for WBSSC Clerk & Gr D Recruitment 2024
