BIG UPDATE on WBCS Prelims 2023 Admit Card & Exam Date

Update on 8th October 2023: On November 5, 2023, WB Public Service Commission will hold the Civil Services (Prelims) Exam. This exam’s participants should know that the admit card will be available at https://wbpsc.gov.in/ for download in the second week of October 2023. Information regarding downloading of WBCS Prelims Admit Card 2023

If you are appearing in the WBCS prelims, then do check the following information regarding the WBCS 2023 Admit Card –

• In case the signature or photographs are not properly printed on WBCS Admit Card 2023, candidates need to carry two copies of identical stamp size photographs with them.
• Candidates need to bring any valid id card in original to the exam hall.
• The hall ticket will not be given offline. WBPSC does not dispatch the hard copy to candidates permanent address.
• Entry inside the exam hall is not permitted without printed copy of the hall ticket.
• Candidates may like to use Black Ball Point Pen.

WBCS 2023 Exam Date Prelims Written Test

WBCS Prelims exam will be held offline. There will be 200 MCQ objective questions and candidates will be given 2 hours 30 minutes for answering in the OMR sheet. We will update here the starting date of downloading of the hall ticket of the WBPSC WBCS when it is uploaded on the official website.

Venue of WBCS Preliminary Exam:

WB Civil Service Exam is held offline, yet they have not transformed the whole system online as computer based test like other exams. So, the written test is conducted in various government schools. This year also the offline exam will be conducted in 20 district headquarters.

The prelims exam is only objective question based. In mains exam candidates will have to answer MCQs as well as write descriptive questions also.

WBCS Admit Card 2023 for prelims exam is not same / different for mains exam. You cannot take your prelims exam call letter for entering in exam hall for main exam. Your roll number will be same but a new WBCS Admit Card will be allotted to you during your mains test. The venue of the test will be written in your hall ticket. Request for change of the exam place will be entertained by the commission. The exam will be held online in various centers of Kolkata only.
