UPSC Forest Service Exam Notification 2024 IFS Advertisement Download Vacancy: UPSC has invited online application from eligible candidates for Indian Service Forest Examination. Eligible candidates can apply online through the website http://upsconline.nic.in. Last date for submission of online application is 06.03.18. 110 number of vacancies for the post has been advertised. Number of vacancies may be change. Examination Indian Forest Service Recruitment will be in two stages- Civil Service (Preliminary) Examination and Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination (Written and Interview). Candidates who are appearing in the exam shall be permitted six attempts at the examination. No admission certificate will be sent by post. Required educational qualification for the post
Candidates must be Bachelors degree with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Zoology, Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of Central or State Legislature in India.
Age limits
For being eligible for Indian Forest Service Exam 2024 conducted by UPSC, candidates should be minimum 21 years old and maximum 32 years old. The cut off date on which the age of the applicants will be calculated as on 01.08.23. So the candidates must born not before 02.08.1986 and not after 01.08.1997.
Upper Age Limit Relaxation:
Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ ST/ Ex-servicemen candidates, 3 years for OBC and Physically disabled candidates.

Selection process
Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of Preliminary Examination, Main (Written) Examination and Interview Test.
Those who will clear the prelims exam will have to appear in the main exam. The date for the main exam will be provided on due time. Exam will be conducted on various places across India. Candidates can apply online through the website www.upsconline.nic.in. No other mode of application is accepted. Interested applicants must choose properly the examination center and optional paper for the examination at the time of form filling as they cant change it afterward.

IFS exam notification for the year 2016 has been published by UPSC. The notification stated around 110 candidates will be recruited for this year. Civil Service Exam notification has also been released by the Commission. To join Indian Forest Service, the candidates have to appear in CSE prelims exam which will be common.
