The ONGC India Limited will release the ONGC GT Result of the Graduate Trainees recruitment examination shortly for. The interview process has already started from 28th May 2024. Preparation of the Merit list of ONGC for the post of Graduate Trainee
As per the announcement of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited, it is essential for the candidates seeking selection for the post of Graduate Trainee to go through the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2020 successfully. The candidates on the basis of their GATE score as mentioned above will be called ONGC GT Result for the Interview round. The Interview round will carry 15 marks. Acquiring the cut off marks in the Interview is necessary to get a place in the merit list.
The final Merit list will be prepared considering the following aspects –
- GATE 2020 score weightage – 60 marks.
- Interview score weightage – 15 marks.
- Educational Qualification weightage – 25 marks.
The score in GATE 2024 will only be considered, the marks of GATE 2024 will not be considered in this respect. On the day of the Interview, it is mandatory to carry all the original documents (marksheet and certificates) in support of their candidature.
The total marks obtained by each of the candidates out of 100 will be considered while forming the final merit list. The final merit list / ONGC GT Result will be announced through the web portal www.ongcindia.com in due course of time.The Departmental candidates will be given priority in selection of Graduate Trainee at E-1 level of Engineering and Geo-Sciences, though there will be no relaxation in the qualification, eligibility or selection process.

The cut off marks for the ONGC Interview, incase of the General candidates is 60% which means 9 out of 15. For the SC/ST/PWD category of candidates, the cut off marks is 40% that means 6 out of 15. Bagging cut off marks in the Interview round is compulsory to get selected for the post of Graduate Trainee at E-1 level in the discipline of Engineering and Geoscience.
