Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) – 880,
Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) – 660,
Miscellaneous Categories Teachers – 255,
TGT (Third Language Teachers) – 235 posts.

Educational Qualification Required:
Eligibility for teaching posts in Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti 2024– Candidates must have following qualification for the posts of Teachers in the Navodaya Schools –
For TGT or Trained Graduate teachers – candidates should have done graduation in relevant subjects (science, humanities / arts, work education, physical education, English, Hindi, Bengali etc) with minimum 50% marks. B.Ed Degree is must for TGT in Navodaya Vidyalaya post. Passing of CTET exam conducted by CBSE is also mandatory / necessary.
For PGT or post graduate teachers – candidates should have Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti TGT PGT Recruitment done post graduation in relevant subjects (physics, chemistry, math, history, geography, education, Bengali, English etc) with minimum 50% marks. B.Ed degree is mandatory for PGT posts also.
For IT or Information Technology subjects, Engineering graduate (B.tech / B.E) can also apply.

Monthly Salary For Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti posts:
Recruited teachers will be paid monthly salary as per the pay scale given by the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (central govt) teaching job norms. Post wise salary details are given below –
PGT – 9,300 – 34,800 with grade pay of Rs 4,800.
TGT – 9,300 – 34,800 with g.p of Rs 4,600.
Other allowances and benefits will be given to the recruited teachers in NVS in their monthly salary.
Age Limit:
Lower Limit – not mentioned.
Upper Limit = 35 years for TGT / 40 years for PGT.
Upper age relaxation will be provided to all the reserved category candidates including ex-serviceman as per the norms of NVS. Age will be calculated as per their reference date.
