Total number if vacant seats is 118. Post wise vacancy break up has been given below.
Sub Inspector (SI) Exe – 06 posts,
Constable (Exe) – 96 posts,
Lower Division Clerk (LDC) – 2 posts,
MSE (Technical) – 14 posts.

Educational Qualification Required:
Eligibility for Constable, LDC – Candidates must have passed 12th or intermediate to apply for the posts.
For Sub-inspector – Minimum eligibility criteria for the post is Graduation in any subject.
For MSE – 10th pass. They should also possess knowledge of Cook, Water carrier, sweeper, washer man, barber trades.
Physical Eligibility – Candidates should also have prescribed physical measurements / criteria for applying to the SI and police constable (exe) posts.

Recruited SI will be paid in the pay scale of Rs 9,300 – 34,800 with grade pay of Rs 4,200. Staffs in other 3 posts will get monthly salary in the pay band of Rs 5,200 – 20,200 but their grade pay will be different as per their posts. GP will be 2000 for post 2, 1900 for post 3 and 1800 for post 4.
Selection Process / Exam Pattern:
For first 2 executive posts that is for SI and constables candidates will have to undergo a physical standards measurement test followed by physical endurance test where they have to pass in several physical activities like run, long jump etc. Next they will be called for written exam. The final merit list will be published on the basis of marks obtained in the written exam only. For the LDC posts candidates will be selected on the basis of written test and stenography / writing speed skill test. MSEs will be recruited after written test and trade test.
The written exam pattern for the SI and Constable posts, under administration of Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli will be a 100 marks test. Where 100 objective type questions (MCQ) will be asked and candidates have to answer it within 2 hours. Syllabus is available to download on their official website.
Upper Limit = 25 years.
Age will be calculated as on 1-01-2016. SC ST category candidates will be given relaxation in upper age limit.
