Following posts in BPCL, Kochi Refinery –
Chemist Trainee – 6,
General Workman (B) Trainee (Chemical) – 15,
General Workman (B) Trainee (Mechanical) – 35,
General Workman – B Trainee – Electrical – 13 Posts.
Vacancy will be reserved for the SC ST OBC PH candidates also.
Educational Qualification Required:
Eligibility for Chemist Trainee – Candidates must have done Master Degree in Chemistry (M.Sc) in first class with 60% marks.
For General Workman Trainee (GWT) -Chemical – First class diploma in Chemical engineering with 60% marks.
For GWT – Electrical – Diploma in first class in electrical or electrical& electronics engineering (E&E) trade.
For GWT Mechanical – Diploma in mechanical or relevant trade.
All the courses must be done from a recognized institution and the degree should be of full time.
Post qualification working or professional knowledge for 1 year or apprenticeship in refinery / lube / chemical trade is desired.
Conversion of CGPA grade will be done in scale of percentage as per BPCL instructions published on their notification.

Salary Structure:
The recruited Chemist Trainee will be paid in the basic pay scale of 13,500 – 31,000.
General Workman Grade B – Rs 11,500 – 20,000 scale.
Perquisites and allowances will be paid as per the PSU rules in India.
Selection Process / Exam Pattern:
BPCL Recruitment of the chemist trainee and general workman group B will be done through written test and skill / proficiency test. Later medical exam will be conducted before the final merit list publishing.
Age Limit:
Lower Limit = 18 years,
Upper Limit = 30 years.
The age limit will be calculated as on 01-006-2016. Age will be provided to the reserved category candidates and ex-serviceman.

Operator (Field) Vacancy in BPCL 2016 – apply online

Vacancy:
Total vacancy for Field Operator has been declared as 196 posts. Zone and district wise vacancy list has been given below –
South (Tamil Nadu, AP, Telangana, Karnataka) – 121 posts,
North (UP, Rajasthan) – 45 posts,
West (Maharashtra) – 23 posts,
East (West Bengal) – 7 posts.
Educational Qualification Required:
Eligibility for Operator (Field) – Candidates must have passed SSLC/ 10th class or 12th / HSC and they should also possess ITI / NTC (National Trade Certificate) from NCVT in Electronics / Electrical / Electrician / Mechanical / attendant operator (Chemical plant). The ITI degree should be of Two years full time and they must have passed the mentioned course with 70% marks. Reserved category and Physically handicapped candidates will be given 5% marks relaxation.
Those who are having apprenticeship or post qualification experience / work experience will be given preference.

Salary Structure:
Recruited ITI candidates in the post of Field Operators will be paid in the pay scale of Rs 9,250 – 20,000. Other allowances will be included in their monthly salary.
Selection Process / Exam Pattern:
There will be written test for Stage I / part 1 where questions will come from relevant subjects / trades from ITI / NTC course and English, quantitative aptitude, reasoning also. Candidates must secure the cut off marks in the written test which is 60% (General/ OBC) & 50% (SC ST PH) for overall test and 50% (General/ OBC) & 40% (Reserved, PwD), sectional cut off. The second step in the recruitment process is Skill assessment test and Physical fitness test. This will be qualifying in nature.
Age Limit:
Lower Limit = 18 years,
Upper Limit = 23 years.
Ex-serviceman, SC ST OBC and PH candidates will be given age relaxation as per the govt norms. Age will be calculated as on 1-06-2016.
Exam Fee:
BPCL has clearly mentioned that there is no fee required to pay (for all categories).
