TNPSC MVI Syllabus 2021: TNPSC Motor Vehicle Inspector Syllabus 2021 Download PDF Exam Pattern Selection Process Paper 1 2 Interview: Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicle Inspector Exam Syllabus 2021 for the written test / online exam that is going to be conducted on 10th June 2021 as per the recruitment notification has been given in detail. Date of written examination is 10.06.18 for both the papers. It is mandatory for the candidates to appear in both the papers of the exam. Absence in any paper will immediately cancel his / her candidature. Mobile phone, calculator and any other electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited in the examination hall. Paper 1 Pattern (Diploma Standard Technical)

  • Paper l (Diploma standard) will consist of 200 questions.
  • Total marks for Paper l examination is 300.
  • 100 questions will be from Automobile engineering and 100 questions from Mechanical engineering.
  • Questions will be set in English only.
  • Time duration for the exam is 3 hours.

Paper 2 Pattern (General studies)

  • Total marks for Paper 2 examination is 200.
  • 75 questions will be from General studies (HSC standard) and 25 questions from Aptitude and mental ability (SSLC standard)
  • Questions will be set in English and Tamil language.
  • Time duration for the Paper II is 2 hours.


  • Questions of both the papers will be objective type (OMR based).
  • Interview and record carries 70 marks.

Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicle Inspector Grade ll Selection Process

Minimum 171 out of 570 marks required to score by SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs / DCs, BCs, BCMs candidates and for others 228 out of 570 marks.

If any candidates do not appear any of the papers in written examination / oral test they will not be considered for selection, even if they secure minimum qualifying marks for selection.
