TNPSC AE Syllabus 2024 Assistant Engineer Electrical & Civil

TNPSC Syllabus 2024 reflects for the exam for which Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has invited online application from eligible candidates through Notification No. 05/ 2024 dated 28.02.23. Direct recruitment to the post of Assistant Engineer (Civil and Electrical) will b conducted by the Tamil Nadu PSC department. Eligible candidates can apply online through the website www.tnpsc.gov.in. It is mandatory for the candidates to register their basic particulars through one time online registration system with payment of Rs 150. Applicants must have adequate knowledge in Tamil. Mobile phone, calculator and any other electronic gadgets are not allowed in the examination hall. Selection process, exam dates, venue / centres for TNPSC AE Examination 2024 can be found below.

TNPSC Assistant Engineer Exam Pattern 2024

Examination will consist of two papers viz. Paper 1 and Paper 2.

Paper l will consist of subjects like Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Questions of Paper Il will be from General Studies.

Questions of Paper l for Electrical Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering will be set in English and Civil Engineering will be set in both Tamil and English.

Questions in Paper ll (General Studies) will be set in both Tamil and English.

TNPSC AE Examination Selection Process 2024

The selection will be done through mainly two steps according to the official notification. The details of phases are given below:-

Exam will be of 570 Marks. Out of 570 marks SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs / DCs, BC (OBCM)s and BCMs candidates need to score 171 marks and 228 marks is required for others.
