One has to answer three Papers in State Eligibility Test which are –

i) Paper-I – It is of general nature. Purpose of this Paper I is to assess the teaching and research aptitude of the Candidate. Below is the outline of the Paper 1 –

• Reasoning ability
• Comprehension
• Divergent Thinking
• General Awareness

Each question will carry 2 marks.

ii) Paper II – Subject Chosen by candidate (2 marks each).

iii) Paper III – Subject Chosen by candidate (2 marks each).

Answer has to be provided on OMR Sheet.

Chemical Sciences, Commerce, Computer Science & Application, Economics, Education , Electronics, English, Geography, Hindi, History, Home Science, Journalism and Mass Communication, Law, Sanskrit, Life Sciences, Management, Mathematical Sciences, Tamil, Telugu, Physical Sciences, Political Science, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Earth Sciences, Library & Information Science. Library & Information science has been added from TNSET 18 onwards. So you may not find TN SET Previous Question Paper for Library & Information Science but you may find Old Previous Question paper for other 25 subjects mentioned here for Paper II and Paper III.

TN SET Question Paper Pattern 2023:

Below are the Question Paper pattern for the TNSET 2023 –

• The test will be taken offline.
• Exam but there are 3 papers.
• Multiple choice questions will be asked.
• The time limit for the first paper examination is one and a half hours.
• Time for the second paper 1.
• The time for the third time is two and a half hours.
• The test has negative marking.
