SSC has earlier invited application for recruitment of Stenographer (Grade C & D) on their official website in 2024.
Around One thousand vacancies are to be filled by the SSC this year for the above said non gazetted posts. The candidates who were aged between 18 to 27 years could apply for the exam. Age relaxation were applicable for the reserved candidates. A candidate who has passed 12th examination were eligible for applying to the post.

The subjects of the test and their marks distribution is as follows –
1) General Intelligence & Reasoning – 50 Marks.
2) General awareness – 50 Marks.
3) English Language & comprehension – 50 marks.
200 questions were asked in the exam. All the questions were multiple choice type. Each question carries 1 marks.
Candidates will be evaluated on their written marks SSC Stenographer Result . If they clear the cut off marks, then they have to go through skill test on stenography. One dictation will be given to the candidates for 10 minutes in English / Hindi. He / she has to type at the speed of 100 words per minute for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and 80 words per minute for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘D’. After qualifying the test, they will be given joining letter.
