SSC Conducted Stenographer C and D exam for various circles or regions on the same date. Admit card were given before one week of the commencement of the exam. Many candidates appeared for the Stenographer Gr C and D exams in various centers. The exam was held by SSCWR, SSCNWR, SSCCR SSCWR etc.

The question paper consisted of 200 marks question. There were 3 parts in written exam that is Numerical aptitude & reasoning, general awareness and English. The Steps of recruitment for the steno post is on the basis of their performance in following ways –
- Written Test
- Skill test
- Interview
Name of the exam was Stenographer Grade ‘C’ (Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted) and Stenographer Grade ‘D’(Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted) 2024.
Vacancies of Stenographer Grade C‟, Stenographers Grade D‟ are in Ministries / Departments of Central Government, including their attached and / or subordinate offices located in States and Union Territories all over the country.
SSC conducts every year the stenographer exam and a large number of competitor appears in the exam as it is a central govt exam.
Those who have passed nin class 12th exam are able to appear in the exam.
