Recruitment Process / selection steps for JA JC Exam OSSC:
Following are the steps which a candidate must go through for selection –
- Preliminary Qualifying Exam – 100 marks,
- Mains Exam – 400 marks
- Computer Skill Test (Practical) – 50 marks.
Preliminary Exam Syllabus and Pattern:
Preliminary exam will be qualifying in nature. The test will be of objective type (MCQ) and OMR sheets will be provided for answering. 1 mark will be there for each question. 100 questions will be asked and candidates will be given 1hr 30 minutes to answer. Negative marking will be there.
Syllabus – General Awareness (History, Geography, Odia / English Langauage, Science etc.)
Mains Written Exam Pattern and Syllabus:
Main exam scheme is given below –
Paper I – Language test (Odia and English) – 100 marks (2 hours).
Paper II – General Knowledge (Objective) – 100 marks (1hr 30 minutes).
Paper III – Mathematics and Basic computer Skills (Objective) – 100 + 100 marks (3 hours).
Paper I will be descriptive and Paper II & III will be objective MCQ type.

Computer Skill Test / Practical Exam Pattern and Syllabus:
This will be qualifying in nature and candidates will be given 1 hour for the practical test.
There is no mention of viva test or interview for this recruitment.
Final Selection / merit list:
Shortlisting of candidates will be done on the basis of marks achieved in Mains exam basis only. Marks of Preliminary and Computer Practical test will not be counted.
