Meteorological Assistant in agriculture dept.
Vacancy:
28 Vacant seats are there. Vacancy has been reserved for SC ST OBC candidates. Below is the category wise vacancy break up list –
General – 15 posts,
SC – 6 posts,
ST – 2 posts,
OBC – 5 posts.
Physically handicapped will also get reservation in vacancy (download the notification add to know).

Starting of online application form fill up – 22-04-2023.
Last date for registration – 24-05-2023.
Educational Qualification Required:
Eligibility for Meteorological assistant – Those who are applying for the post must have passed Higher Secondary or 12th Exam in Science with Physics or Maths having at least 50% marks in Science subjects or with Geography as one subject with minimum 50% marks.
Salary Structure:
Pay scale for the assistants is Rs 5,400 – 25,200 with grade pay of Rs 2,900. Allowances like d.a, h.r.a will be provided to the recruited staffs.
Age Limit:
Lower Limit = 18 years,
Upper Limit = 40 years.
Relaxation in upper age limit will be provided for reserved category candidates.
Selection Process / Exam Pattern:
WBSSC will conduct written exam for the recruitment of above post. The scheme and syllabus for the post will be provided in their website. The test may be carried on offline or online, it will dpend on the recruiter’s decision.
Exam Fee:
General and OBC Candidates – Rs 220 (including the application and processing fee).
SC ST Candidates – Rs 20 as the processing fee.
