Written Exam Syllabus & Pattern DDA Junior Engineer, Stenographer, Sectional Officer Recruitment Process
Delhi Development Authority (DDA) publishes vacancy every year for Junior Engineer or JE (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical) Stenographer, Sectional Officer or so (Horticulture), assistant sectional officer (aso), patwari. Recruitment or selection process of the above mentioned posts has been given below. Detailed syllabus for each of the post subject wise are also available for download. Online exam will be held in various center. Exam pattern and other details of the DDA recruitment is given below.

Selection Process of various posts in DDA (Delhi Development authority):
Post wise exam paper pattern is given below –
For Junior Engineer (JE) Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Sectional Officer (SO) Horticulture –
Online Competitive Test (120 marks): There will be online exam for the recruitment of the above mentioned posts. The exam will be objective in nature where Multiple Choice Questions or MCQs will be asked. The duration of the test will be 2 hours. 120 MCQs will be asked each carrying 1 mark. Following will be the sections from which the questions will come –
i) Reasoning,
ii) Quantitative aptitude,
iii) General awareness,
iv) English Language,
v) Questions from respective subjects (civil engineering/ mechanical / electrical / agri / hort. / forestry).
There has been no mention of interview in their notification.
For Stenographer Grade D:
Single stage online exam – The test will consist of 200 marks questions each carrying 1 mark from following subjects –
i) General Intelligence (GI) and Reasoning – 50 marks,
ii) General awareness (GK) – 50 marks,
iii) English Language and Comprehension – 100 marks.
Stenography Test – Those who will clear the online / written test will be called for stenography test where 10 minute’s dictation test will be held in English / Hindi. This test will be qualifying in nature.
Junior Engineer (Civil) Syllabus –
Civil Engineering –
Building Materials, Surveying, Soil Mechanics, Hydraulics, Environmental Engineering, Structural Engineering, Concrete Technology, RCC design, Steel Design.
Junior Engineer (Mechanical / Electrical) – General Engineering:
Electrical Engineering –
Basic Electrical Engineering, Circuit Law, Electrical Machines, General, Transmission and Distribution.
Mechanical Engineering –
Flow of Fluids, Thermal Engineering, Production Engineering, Strength of Material (SOM), Theory of Machines.
Final selection will be done on the merit list prepared on the online test only.
