• Minimum 50% is required either in Bachelor degree or in Master’s degree in any stream.
• Candidates with Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in science and mathematics with minimum 55% marks or any other equivalent qualification are eligible for this B.ED Course.
• The deputed teachers appointed before the establishment of NCTE do not require 50% of marks. Candidates with below 50% are also eligible in this category.

B.Ed Seats Vacancy – 50 (depute-25, fresher-25)

In the University 50% seats are reserved for the deputed candidates and 50% for the fresher candidates. Selection Process of Calcutta University B.Ed Admission 2024

• Teachers of class IX to XII can only apply as Deputed Teacher.
• Selection of Deputed Teacher of Higher Secondary School/Secondary School/ Madrasah affiliated to W.B.B.S.E/ W.B.B.M.E will be on the basis of their service period in the School/ Madrasah.
• In case two or more applicants have same service period in Secondary School/ Madrasah, then the candidates with higher Academic Qualifications will be preferred.
• But if both the Period of Service and Academic Qualifications are same, then the candidates with higher percentage in different examinations in their career will be selected (Grade Marks calculation will be on the same process as it applicable for fresher candidates.)
