Calcutta High Court has invited offline application from eligible candidates for the post of P.A. / Stenographer, Grade C. Interested and eligible candidates should send their application to The register General, High Court, Calcutta. Required educational qualification for the post
Candidates must have passed 12th or equivalent from West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education from a recognized council / board / institution / university.
Speed in shorthand and type writing @ 120 w.p.m. and 30 w.p.m. is also required.

Salary structure
In the pay band scale Rs 7100 – 37600 (PB – 3) with minimum pay of Rs 9030 and Grade pay of Rs 3600 along with other allowances as mentioned under the rules.
Age limits
- Candidates should be minimum 18 years and maximum 32 years as on 01.01.18.
Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC / ST candidates of West Bengal. Upper age limit is relaxable upto 45 years for persons with disabilities.
Examination fee
- SC / ST candidates of West Bengal – Rs 150
- For others – Rs 300
Selection process
Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of written test,merit and interview.

Stenographer, Personal assistant post vacancy in High Court of Calcutta – appellate side
On 15th April 2016, Calcutta High Court has made a circular of Recruitment Notice through their advertisement no 1317 – RG. The notification stated that around 32 stenographer and personal assistant is going to be recruited in appellate side of the Honorable High Court. Though the number of vacancy is expected and existing, final number will be known during the time of induction. If you are willing to apply, just go through the following information which has been taken from the official advertisement. Vacancy will be reserved for meritorious sportsperson and persons with disability.

Educational Qualification Required:
Eligibility for Steno – 12th or Higher secondary pass candidates are eligible to apply.
Essential qualification for the post is that candidates must know shorthand speed of 120 words per minute and typing speed of 30 words per minute.

Recruited Stenographers will be paid in the pay scale of Rs 7,100 – 37,600 with grade pay of Rs 3,600.

Only shorthand test will be done for the selection. In preliminary level, screening will be done on shorthand test. Later the successful candidates will have to appear for typing test through computer.
