English Stenographer, Typist, Peon LDC Vacancy in Judgeship of Burdwan 2024
Office of the District Judge, Bardhaman has issued recruitment notification for the LDC, English Stenographer, Typist (copyist) and other posts. Notification no for the employment notice is 1205/ III-9 dated 6-05-2024. The total number of vacancy in the Bardhaman district court or Judgeship of Burdwan is declared as 130 posts. Application is invited online for all these posts for which candidates have to satisfy the eligibility criteria. Selection method and steps (exam syllabus) has been given below.

Educational Qualification Required:
Eligibility for Post no 1, 2, 3 – Madhyamik or 10th,
Post no 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 – VIII or 8th pass from school or madrasah.
Post no 9, 10 – Candidate should be able to read and write in Bengali that is literate.

Salary Structure:
Stenographer (Basic Grade in Schedule B) will be paid in the Pay Band 3 which is basic pay scale of Rs 7,100 – 37,600 with grade pay of Rs 3,900.
LDC and Typist will get monthly salary in pay scale of Rs 5,400 – 25,200 with GP of Rs 2,600.
Summon Bailiff will get the same scale as the LDC which is PB-2 but their grade pay will be Rs 2,300.
Salary for all the other posts will be Rs 4,900 – 16,200 with G.P of Rs 1,700.
Selection Process / Exam Pattern:
For some posts there will be Written test (preliminary and main / part I & II) or trade test or both. Typing test will be done for Stenographer, Typist posts. Sweeper and Gardener will be recruited on the basis of interview only. For post no 4 to 8, a personality test will be conducted. Marks distribution and syllabus & exam pattern of the written test has been given in their official notification add.
Age Limit:
Lower Limit = 18 years,
Upper Limit = 40 years.
Age for the Burdwan District Court Posts will be calculated as on 1st January 2024.
Exam Fee:
General & OBC Candidates – Rs 250/ 150 (depending on post),
SC ST Candidates – Rs 50/ 25.
