Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) and Librarian in Assam Govt schools – School Service (Junior) APSC recruitment
Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has issued recruitment notification under their advertisement no 01/2024 for the recruitment of Librarian and Post graduate teachers (PGT) in higher secondary schools. The PGTs will be in posted under Assam school service (Junior) Class I cadre. The assistant Librarian will work in Legislative Department.

Assistant Librarian – 1 post.
Post Graduate Teachers in H.S schools – 106 posts.

Important Dates of Recruitment :
Last date for receiving the filled up application form – 01-04-2024.
Educational Qualification Required :
For post 1 – B.Lib & I.sc with certificate or diploma in computer / M.Lib & I.Sc.
For post 2 – M.A/ M.Sc / M.Com with 50% marks with B.Ed degree. They should also have passed TET conducted by PSC.
Salary Structure :
The pay scale for the both the Librarian and PGTs will be on scale of Rs 8,000 – 35,000. But grade pay for PGTs will be 5,100 and for Librarian it will be Rs 4,300. Other allowances will also be admissible as per the rules of Assam govt.
Age Limit :
Lower Limit = 21 years..
Upper Limit = 38 years.
Age relaxation will be applicable for the SC/ST candidates.
Selection Process / Exam Patter / Syllabus :
The candidates have to go through Written Test followed by Interview. If PSC wants to shortlist the candidates depending on the number applications submitted, then they may conduct a screening test on the basis of their academic score or a separate exam.
