Meghalaya Police Recruitment 2024, for the posts of Sub Inspector (SI) , Constable, Fireman, Mechanic & Others
Office of the Central Recruitment Board under Meghalaya Police Department has issued recruitment notification for 1429 vacant seats in various posts. 5 different categories will be filled up by candidates through examination.
The recruitment board has also mentioned that only domicile of Meghalaya can apply for the posts. Application form fillup will be on offline method that is willing candidate has to buy the application form through offices of DSP.

4) AB Group (including armed branch constables) – 738

Educational Qualification Required :
For Sub Inspector – Graduation in any stream
For armed Constable – IX pass
For Unarmed Branch Constable – 12th pass

Salary Structure :
SI will be paid on the pay scale in basic salary of Rs 14,100. Grade pay, DA, HRA and other allowances will be applicable.
Constable will be paid in Rs 8300 as basic salary. Other allowances will also be given.
Age Limit :
18 – 21 years for Constables & 20 – 27 years for SI.
Selection Process :
Selection will be done on 3 steps. 1st there will be a Physical Efficiency Test. On the 2nd step the successful candidates will have to appear for Written Test. 3rd step is the Interview where the candidate will have to prove his eligibility for these posts in front of the selection board.
Written Exam will consist of 450 marks. Candidates are advised to follow the detailed notification regarding physical measurement requirements.
How to Apply :
From 15th March onward the application form will be available on all the offices of DSP and Commandants of MLP battalions and Principal, PTS mawroh, Shillong. Candidates have to purchase the form and fill up with all the details in the required fields. Submit the form on the above said address. Date for the exam will be notified to them later.
