West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) Headmaster Recruitment 2024: WBSSC has released short recruitment notification advertisement for SLST Headmaster / Headmistress posts in 2024. Vacancy for the head teacher posts in West Bengal School Service Commission through 2nd State Level Selection Test (SLST) will be declared after the Full & Detailed Advertisement notification is out. The recruitment will be done through State Level Selection Test (SLST) and recruited candidates will be posted as Head Teacher in Govt Sponsored / Govt Aided Secondary & Higher Secondary Schools.

Vacancy break up for Eastern, Northern, Southern, Western & South-eastern region has also been given below. WBSSC has already abolished the recruitment system of RLST and now they are recruiting Teachers through State Level Selection Test. Written Examination will be conducted for the purpose of Head Master recruitment 2024. Candidates need to apply online for the posts of HM in 2024.

Old Vacancy:

This was the zone wise vacancy for last year:

• Eastern Region – 431 Posts,
• Northern Region – 333 Posts,
• Southern Region – 304 Posts,
• Western Region – 417 Posts,
• South-Eastern Region – 264 Posts.

Total 1749 number of vacancy was notified for WBSSC SLST Head Master / Head Mistress Recruitment 2017. This year, the number of vacancy has not been notified yet.

WBSSC HM Educational Qualification Required / Eligibility Criteria:

Eligibility for headmaster posts in WBSSC:

Master’s Degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks at the Post Graduate Level, with degree in Bachelor of Teaching / Bachelor of Education / Post Graduate Basic Training from any recognized University or any training recognized by the State Government as equivalent and approved by NCTE.

They should also have minimum Ten years continuous teaching experience on the last date of submission of application in approved service in a Higher Secondary School / High School / Junior High School.

Monthly Salary of Headmaster SLST 2024:

Recruited headmaster will be paid in the pay scale as decided by the commission. Other allowances will also be included in their monthly salary.

Age Limit:

Upper Limit = 55 years.

Upper age relaxation may be provided to all the reserved category as per the norms of WBSSC Headmaster recruitment. Age will be calculated as per reference date prescribed by WestBengalSSC.
