WBP SI Selection Process 2024
Selection Process of WBP SI consists of Four Parts –
- Step 1: Preliminary Examination,
- Step 2: Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET),
- Step 3: Final Combined Competitive Examination,
- Step 4: Personality Test.

- Drafting of a report from the points of material supplied
- Translation from Bengali / Hindi / Urdu / Nepali as the case may be to English

- Correct use of words, correction of sentences, use of common phrases, synonyms, antonyms etc.
WB Police SI Paper 3 Syllabus 2024
- Drafting of a report from the points or materials supplied
- Translation from English to Bengali, Hindi to Urdu and vice- versa.
Important Facts Regarding to WBP Sub Inspector Recruitment Process
- As we know that the Preliminary examination will be a screening test for selection of candidates for PMT and PET. After that they will be able to appear in the mains exam.
- Total Marks scored by candidates in Preliminary Examination will not be counted for determining the final merit list. But it will be a type of screening test.
- PMT and PET will also be qualifying in nature. Those who will cross those exam will only be called for Final combined competitive examination.
- After that, candidates selected merit wise on the basis of results of Final combined competitive exam will be called for Personality Test.
- Questions of the Preliminary examination will be in English and Hindi.
- Language of the Questions of the Final combined competitive exam will be in English, Bengali and Nepali.
- Preliminary Examination will either be an OMR based MCQ type written examination or Computer based online test (CBT).
- Therefor for each wrong answer ¼ th marks will be deducted.
- Time duration for preliminary examination is 90 minutes as per the notification.
- The Personality Test consists 30 marks.
- Selected candidates have to appear for Medical Examination at the State Government designated hospitals as per the rule prescribed by the West Bengal Police Department.
