West Bengal Forest Service Selection Process 2024

The selection process consists of 3 steps –

1. Preliminary Examination.
2. Mains Exam and
3. Interview or personality test.

Pattern of prelims exam

• The preliminary exam consists of 200 Questions.
• Each question carries one mark.
• Duration of the exam – 2.5 Hours (150 Minutes).

• Most probably WBPSC will conduct the preliminary exam offline.

English Composition

• Synonyms,
• Antonyms,
• Idioms and Phrases,
• Vocabulary test,
• Phrasal verbs,
• Same words bearing more than one meaning,

General Mental Ability

Restriction of choice of optional subjects

1. Agriculture or Agricultural Engineering or Veterinary Science.
2. Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
3. Computer Application or Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

5. Mathematics or Statistics.

Personality Test

It will consist of 200 marks for WBFS and for WBSFS, 100 marks interview will be conducted. Based on the merit list of the mains exam, candidates will be shortlisted for Personality test. Final merit list will be prepared depending upon the Toal marks obtained by a candidate in Mains and Personality test.
