The exam will be divided in two parts. Part 1 will be dedicated to computer knowledge and will consist a total mark of 50 from which the candidate will have to secure 25 marks to qualify. It should be noted that there will be negative marking of -1/4 for each wrong answers which means for every wrong 4 answers 1 mark will be deducted from the candidate’s marks.
The mode of language will be either in English or Hindi. The second portion of the exam will be dedicated to arithmetic, general English/general Hindi and UPPCL Account Clerk Syllabus accountancy. Arithmetic will consist of 25 marks, general English/general Hindi will consist of 50 marks whereas accountancy will consist of 75 marks.

It should be noted that the candidates who have applied for the post of Account Clerk in the UPPCL must undergo a computer based test at first consisting of 50 marks to check computer knowledge and UPPCL Account Clerk Syllabus usage of the candidate. The candidates who score a total of 25 marks in this computer based test (CBT) will be considered as qualified in part 1 of the examination.
