Assistant Jailor in Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) apply online 2024
On their advertisement notification no 6/2024 dated 09-03-2024, Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has stated that around 107 vacancy will be filled by suitable candidates for the post of assistant Jailor. They will be recruited under Tamil Nadu Jail Subordinate Service in Prison Department. For more information please see below

Last date for application submission (online) – 08-04-2024.
Last date of payment of fee through bank – 12-04-2024.
Educational Qualification Required :
Any graduate who has B.A / B.Com / B.Sc can apply for the post.
Physical Criteria:
A candidate must have the physical standards / measurements as prescribed by the recruiter board. Please download the recruitment add from below link to see the physical criteria.
Salary Structure :
The assistant Jailor will be paid on the pay scale of Rs 9,300 – 34,800 with grade pay of Rs 4,200.
Age Limit :
Lower Limit = 18 years.
Upper Limit = 30 years.
There will be no age upper limit for the reserved candidates.
Exam Fee :
General Candidates – Rs 150.
SC/ST/PwD Candidates – Rs 50.
Selection Process / Exam Patter / Syllabus :
A candidate who is eligible as per the TNPSC’s requirement, will have to appear in two test –
1) Written Main Exam – Will consist of two papers. Each will carry 300 marks.
2) Personal Interview – 80 marks will be allotted for interview.
Cut off marks :
The candidates has to score a minimum mark which is 272 for General Candidates and 204 for Others.
Exam Date:
The written exam will be held on 24-07-2024. Both the papers will be taken on the same date.
