Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) through their official notification advertisement no IIE-61/ 2015/ 983/OSSC dated 29-03-2024. The advertisement is a re activation of advertisement published in the year of 2015. This re advertisement stated that the Jr DEO’s will be posted in Home Departments in Odisha. Extension of last date for the candidates who have not applied earlier has been made up to 30^th April 2024. Educational Qualification Required:
A candidate having bachelor degree or graduation in any discipline can apply for the post. But he or she must have done at least 6 months diploma course in computer application. Please find the full eligibility criteria in their official add.
Salary Structure:
The recruited staffs in home dept will be paid on the pay scale of Rs 5,200 – 20,200 including grade pay of Rs 1,900. Other allowances will also be given to the DEO.
Age Limit:
Lower Limit = 21 years.
Upper Limit = 32 years.
Relaxation in upper age limit for the SC ST candidates will be provided as per the Odisha SSC norms.
Selection Process / Exam Pattern / Syllabus:
There will be Computer test and Interview or Viva Voce. The Computer test will be held in two parts – first is Theory in computer fundamental and second one is Practical exam. The candidates who will be successful in clearing the cut off marks for DEO exam in Odisha will be able to download the call letter. Later they have to face the interview while carrying all original documents required by OSSC.
