One major arm of the great Defence system in India is Indian Navy. They have published recruitment notification advertisement for the post of SSC officer. These officers will join Navy for short period. It has been mentioned through their add that only unmarried sportsman will be recruited through this notification. Educational Qualification Required:
Candidates should possess Post Graduate (PG) degree or B.tech (Engineering) in any field. Candidates who are having degree or diploma in sports will be given preference.
Sports Qualification required:

Salary Structure:
The recruited candidates will join the post as Sub – Lieutenant who will be paid in the pay scale of Rs 15,600 – 39,100. This is a Pay Band 3 scale. Monthly salary will be included with grade pay of Rs 5,400 and MSP (Military Service Pay) of Rs 6000. Other allowances will also be admissible.
Age Limit:
Indian Navy has divided the age criteria in two sections respective of sports category.
For all sports except Yachting and Wind Surfing –
Lower Limit = 22 years,
Upper Limit = 27 years.
For Yachting and wind surfing –
Lower Limit = 21 years,
Upper Limit = 25 years.
Selection Process:
There will be preliminary interview for those who have submitted the application properly. The interview will be conducted in New Delhi. No fare will be provided to the candidates. Later those who will be qualified in the interview, will have to face SSB or Service Selection Board. The SSB exam will be held in various places. In two steps, SSB will be conducted.
