Haryana Civil Service Preliminary Exam Syllabus 2023
The preliminary exam is the general exam which should be appeared by all the candidates who have applied for the HCS. This is the first round of the selection process. The candidates who will qualify in the prelims will be called to sit in the mains. The preliminary exam will have two papers for which the subjects will be General Studies and General Aptitude. Each subject will carry 100 marks and the exam will be conducted for 200 marks in total. The time duration of the exam will be 2 hours. HPSC Prelims Paper 1 GS Syllabus:
- General Science.
- Current events of national and international importance.
- History of India and Indian National Movement.
- Indian and World Geography.
- Indian Culture, Indian Polity and Indian Economy.
- General Mental Ability.
- Haryana-Economy and people. Social, economic and culture institutions and language of Haryana.
HPSC Mains Paper 2 CSAT Syllabus:
- Comprehension
- Interpersonal skills including communication skills
- Logical reasoning and analytical ability
- Decision making and problem solving
- General mental ability
- Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, order of magnitude, etc.-Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, date sufficiency etc. – Class X-level).
Haryana PCS Mains Exam Syllabus 2023
The applicants who qualify in the prelims can sit for the main examination. The mains will carry a total marks of 600 where the subjects will be English, Hindi, General studies. These subjects HCS Syllabus 2023 will carry 100 marks each. Two subjects should be chosen by the candidate from a list of 23 subjects which will carry 150 marks each.
