Union Bank of India (UBI) Recruitment Process, Written Exam Syllabus & Pattern Download

Selection Procedure of Specialist Officer (SO) in Union Bank of India has different steps. Selection Process of Specialist Officer (SO) of Union Bank of India:
The method in the recruitment procedure will contain two steps which are –
1) Written Exam and
2) Interview.
1) Written Test (200 marks):
The written exam consists of 200 questions. The questions are asked from 3 different subjects which are as follows –
i) Reasoning (25 marks) – 50 objective pattern questions or MCQ will be there containing a total of 25 marks that is each question will carry .5 marks.
ii) Quantitative aptitude (50 marks) – Questions of this section will come from basic mathematical aptitude like problems of time and work, distance and time, permutation & combination, series etc. 50 question will be there each carrying 1 mark.
iii) Professional Knowledge relevant to the post (100 marks) – This part will be different for each of the posts. Suppose for IT officer questions will come from their subjects in Information technology, for accountant post, there will be questions from subjects in their CA course. 50 questions will be asked which will carry 2 marks each.
iv) English Language (25 marks) – In this part candidates English Skill will be judged. Union Bank SO Syllabus of the English Test will be comprehension, grammatical error, verb and preposition, synonym antonym etc from 12th 50 questions carrying 25 marks comes in the paper.
The duration of the paper is 120 minutes or 2 hours. Paper will be asked in both Hindi and English language. Negative marking is there and 25% of marks assigned to the question will be deducted for wrongly marking a question. Online test will be conducted in various centers of selected venues.
There will be sectional cut off marks for each sections separately and aggregate (200 marks) cut off marks both of which is to be cleared by a candidate to go through the next step of selection. The cut off marks will be declared by Union Bank later.
All the question are multiple choice question (MCQ) by pattern and will be answered in OMR sheet.
2) Interview:
Those who will clear the preliminary / screening test will be called for interview. Personal interview will consist of 50 marks where candidates will be assessed by their work experience, self-representation, academic knowledge, communication skills etc. Each candidate has to clear the cut of marks for the interview which is fixed by the UBI and it is 25 marks for General Category and 22.5 marks for the reserved category.
Final selection will be done on the basis merit list prepared by the marks obtained in the written exam and interview.
