Required educational qualification for the post
Eligibility for Postman / mailguard posts in Andhra Pradesh postal department – candidates must have passed 10th class or matriculation for applying to the post that is candidates must have passed Matriculation from any recognized board/ institution.
Monthly Salary For Postman / mailguard in AP circle:
AP Postman Recruitment postman will be given monthly salary as on the pay scale decided for them by the Indian postal department. Other allowances will be included in their monthly salary along with their grade pay.
The postman / mailguard will be paid Rs 21,700 in Level – 3 of Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC plus admissible allowance as prescribed from time to time.
Age limits
- Lower Limit = 18 years,
- Upper Limit = 27 years.
Candidates should be minimum 18 years and maximum 27 years.
Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC / ST, 3 years for OBC and Ex-servicemen, 10 years for PWD (UR), 15 years for PWD (SC / ST) and 13 years for PWD (OBC).
Upper age limit is relaxable upto 40 years for UR candidates, 45 years for SC / ST candidates and 43 years for OBC candidates for those Government employees who have rendered not less than 3 years in regular continuous service.

- SC / ST / PWD / Women – Nil
