Selection Process Exam Syllabus Pattern Download for WBSSC Non-teaching group D post in School

West Bengal School Service Commission or WBSSC will conduct Non-teaching staff group D recruitment exam for govt schools in 2016. The exam syllabus of written test and exam pattern including the recruitment or selection process is given below. You can also download the exam syllabus in PDF format from the link given below. Marks distribution for various subjects are also given. The exam method / selection process will contain written test and / or interview. The exam will may be conducted online or offline. The written test will be held at various centers in West Bengal. After the written exam, panel or final selection list will be declared.

Recruitment Process / selection steps:

Recruitment for various posts under West Bengal School Service Commission will be done through several steps. We have given a general overview of the steps in the selection procedure. Most of the exam pattern will contain 2 steps –

  • Written Exam,
  • Interview / personality test or viva voce test.

If required West Bengal SSC may conduct computer knowledge test / typing test for the non-teaching staffs for WBSSC posts (clerks).

Syllabus for Group C Clerks:

A. General Knowledge – 15 marks.
B. Current Affairs – 15 marks (History, Literature, Culture, Geography, Economic Science, Polity, Indian Constitution and Scientific research etc.).
C. General English – 15 marks.
D. Arithmetic – 15 marks.

Marks distribution / Full marks of the exam:

Question paper will contain MCQ or multiple choice questions. There will be a number of objective type questions where answer is to be given in OMR sheet. No descriptive type test will be conducted. Most probably WBSSC will award negative marking for each wrong answer.

Marks distribution for the clerks selection is given below-

1. Written Examination (MCQ Type) 60 Marks
2. Academic qualification including professional qualifications 10 Marks
3. Personality Test (5) with typing and computer proficiency (25)

Viva test or interview:

Final selection will be done on the basis of merit list prepared after combining marks of both the written test and interview. Candidates are required to take all the original documents during the interview process. The venue or place for the interview will be given later. The RLST or regional level selection test for WB School Service commission for the non-teaching staffs post (group D) will give notification for further information regarding the exam.

Final Selection:

Shortlisting of candidates will be done on the basis of marks achieved in Written, computer test (if applicable) and viva exam.
