Minimum Physical Measurements / Standards Required:
Candidates must have some physical standards for the posts in Meghalaya Police. Each post has separate physical criteria or cut off and they are discussed as follows.
Only Height Measurements will be required for being eligible to the posts in Meghalaya Pollice.
For Sub Inspector (UB SI / AB SI) and Constables both the posts, minimum height required is given in the following table category wise.

Exam Pattern / Marks Distribution:
If you are preparing for the Meghalaya Police posts, then you must know the exam pattern or what are the recruitment steps and how many marks are allotted for each steps. There are different marks distribution or weightage for each of the posts and they are as given below.
For Category I (UB SI) and Category 3 UB Constable:

For Category 2 (AB SI), Category 4 (AB Constable) and Category 5 (Followers):

Physical Measurements Test (PMT):
The first step of the recruitment procedure is PMT where candidates will be tested for required minimum height eligibility as given on the table. Those who are having the criteria will be deemed qualified in the test.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
Next step is PET where candidates will have to qualify in Race in given time.
For male candidates – 5 km race is to be completed within 24 minutes maximum.
For female candidates – 3 km race is to be finished within 19 minutes max.
Marking system will be on the basis of time taken in completing running. It will be different for UB and AB posts. For UB posts the PET will be conducted on 100 marks and for AB posts it will be done for 250 marks.
Written Exam:
Those who will clear the cut off marks will have to appear for written test. No online exam will be held. For each post the UB / AB and SI / Constable post, there will be different exam pattern and marks distribution (full marks).
