West Bengal (WBPSC) assistant engineer (civil) vacancy – apply online for engineer post
On their official advertisement no 11/2016, WBPSC or West Bengal Public Service Commission has stated that assistant engineer in civil engineering department will be recruited. The vacancy has been published on the online portal of the PSC that is pscwb.org.in. The recruited engineers will be posted in various depts of the state govt like PWD or public works department, PHE or Public Health Engineering, Irrigation and others. Educational Qualification Required:
Eligibility for the post is – the candidate must have completed B.Tech degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution. They should also have working knowledge of Bengali (not mandatory for Nepali speaking people).
The recruited assistant engineers will be paid in the pay scale of Rs 15,600 – 42,000 with grade pay of Rs 5,400. Other allowances like h.r.a, d.a, m.a will also be included in their monthly salary.
Upper Limit = 32 years.
SC ST OBC candidates will be given relaxation in upper age limit.
Selection Process / Exam Pattern:
Written test and interview will be held for the selection of candidates. The written test will only be hold in Kolkata. The exam will be objective type where the candidate has to mark on OMR sheet. If they clear the cut off marks for written test, they will be called for interview. Final selection will be done based on the joint marks in written test and interview.
General Candidates are required to pay Rs 210 along with bank charge and other charges. SC ST and other reserved category candidates are exempted from payment of any fee.
